This Scratch project is meant to provide an example for students' application of their understanding of feeding strategies vs defense strategies, as well as pressures of natural selection. Some questions are embedded in the project students would be expected to answer in their notebooks.

The purpose of this project is to illustrate the relationship between temperature and volume of gas in a balloon as it is being heated by a bunsen burner (Charles's Law). The gas laws are often difficult for students to understand so I would have students create an illustration of the gas laws after observing the relationship between different variables in the lab. I did not show in this Scratch program, but would have students also show what is occurring at a molecular level in the gas. This would require a deep understanding of gas properties and relationship between variables. This Charles's Law program is just an example, but the same thing can be done for any of the other gas laws. To start the program, open it up and click on the green flag.
